Our history
Our founder José Alcántara Martí began to work in the manufacture of dies for cutting and drawing in a small workshop located in the town of Meliana. Our first clients were Manufacturas Fonos and Talleres Pedro Barberá.
The company expanded for the first time. The warehouse that currently occupies our stamping area was built. We also acquired our first 250-tonne BELT eccentric press. This press was used for the production of aftermarket parts for the automotive sector.
We obtained ISO 9001 certification, which allowed us to work as a Tier 2 supplier in the automotive sector, both with regard to the construction of dies and for the stamping of metal parts.
Matrices Alcántara won the contract for developing the first original equipment (OE) project for the Nissan Pathfinder project. We acquired our first 315-tonne ESNA double-post press. During this year, the company underwent its second expansion in order to increase the stamping area.
We implemented Lean Manufacturing in our production system with the support of the AVIA GOAL project.
We acquired a 300 tonne LOIRE hydraulic press to produce deep drawing parts for the automotive sector. This same year the third expansion of the company took place, which is currently given over to welding and 3D laser work. We started working for the European market, mainly with Poland, Germany and England.
We obtained IATF 16949 certification, and we inaugurated the robotic welding and spot welding area.
We incorporated the first 3D Laser cutting machine to meet the demand of the automotive and aerospace sectors.
